Kalmbach Publishing Co. recently launched four new magazine apps on the popular Apple Newsstand. DISCOVER, Astronomy, Bead&Button and Bead Style are now all available for single-copy purchases and subscriptions on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
The digital editions of the magazines feature every story and photo in the print magazines with live links throughout to direct readers to even more engaging content online. Simple and intuitive touch gestures allow readers to turn pages, jump between articles, and enlarge photos and text for an immersive reading experience. Issues can be downloaded to enjoy offline.
Readers can preview a free sample of the current issues of our magazines within the app and download additional free articles from DISCOVER and Astronomy or jewelry project packages from Bead&Button and Bead Style. The apps were created by Quad/Graphics Media Solutions.
The launch into the Apple Newsstand further extends the reach of Kalmbach Publishing Co.’s digital products. All of Kalmbach’s titles also are available digitally on Zinio, Nook and Amazon Kindle Fire.
“We have been pleased with the growth of our digital products, and expansion onto the Apple Newsstand is the next step. Making content available to current and future customers in the format of their choice is an important part of our ongoing digital strategy,” Chuck Croft, president of Kalmbach Publishing Co., said.
